Move Tasks Between Sections
Drag a task by its small handle and drop it under Today, Tomorrow, This Week, Later, or Optional. The destination highlights when the task is ready to drop.
Passcode Lock and Auto Lock
Use the myTriage menu to set a six-digit passcode, enable automatic locking, lock all stickies, or unlock the app. Locked stickies collapse and hide their contents. Keep the passcode safe because support cannot recover it.
Screen-Capture Protection
The Allow Screenshots control is in the myTriage menu. When screenshots are not allowed, myTriage asks macOS to exclude sticky windows from standard screen capture.
This is an additional privacy layer, not a guarantee against every capture method. It cannot erase an existing screenshot, stop an external camera, or control a compromised Mac, system-level tool, accessibility utility, remote-access product, or future macOS behavior outside the app.
Encrypted Backup
Right-click a sticky and choose Export All Stickies to create one encrypted .mytriagebackup file. Keep its passphrase safe. Import Stickies requires the matching passphrase, and support cannot decrypt or recover the backup.
Keep a separate backup if losing the notes would matter. myTriage cannot recover a deleted local note, a lost backup file, or a forgotten backup passphrase.
Local Collaboration
Both Macs need a compatible myTriage version and local-network access. The person joining clicks Find. The host clicks Invite and selects the nearby person. There are no ports or server addresses to enter.
If no person appears, confirm that both Macs are awake, connected to the same local network, and allowed to use the local network in macOS Settings.
Invite only people you trust. A participant can read shared content on their device and may copy, photograph, or retain it outside myTriage.
myTriage Pro
The free version supports up to 10 personal stickies. The one-time Pro purchase unlocks unlimited personal stickies and the ability to create and host collaboration notes. Invited people can join and edit without purchasing Pro.
If a previous purchase does not appear, open the upgrade sheet and choose Restore Purchase while signed in with the Apple Account used for the original purchase.
Use the Privacy Features Deliberately
myTriage is designed to reduce casual viewing and unauthorized access to notes. No app can guarantee that information will never be compromised. Use a strong Mac login password, enable FileVault where appropriate, keep macOS and myTriage updated, control physical and remote access to the Mac, and avoid storing information whose risk exceeds the protection your environment can provide.
