myTriage for Mac

Security & Use Terms

Effective date: August 2, 2026

These notices explain the intended use and limits of myTriage's privacy, collaboration, backup, and purchase features in clear language.

Agreement and App Store License

By downloading or using myTriage, you agree to these product-use notices and the applicable Apple App Store terms. Unless a separate custom license is presented in the App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs the app license.

Read Apple's Standard EULA

Intended Use

myTriage is a general-purpose productivity app for personal task triage, freeform sticky notes, direct nearby collaboration, and user-controlled backups. It is not a password manager, emergency system, safety service, legal-record repository, regulated medical or financial records system, or substitute for an organizational security program.

Privacy Features and Security Limits

Passcode locking, encrypted local storage, collapsed locked windows, Auto Lock, encrypted backup files, and encrypted collaboration traffic are designed to reduce casual viewing and unauthorized access.

No software can guarantee that data will never be viewed, copied, altered, lost, or compromised. Protection can be affected by macOS, device configuration, malware, accessibility or remote-access tools, physical access, weak or reused passcodes, backups, other apps, external cameras, and vulnerabilities outside myTriage's control.

You are responsible for securing the Mac and Apple Account, choosing and protecting passcodes, keeping software updated, controlling device access, and deciding whether myTriage is appropriate for the sensitivity of the information you enter.

Screen-Capture Protection

When screenshots are not allowed, myTriage asks macOS to exclude sticky windows from standard screen capture. This is a best-effort privacy control provided through operating-system behavior, not a promise that every current or future capture method will be blocked.

The app cannot erase an existing screenshot or recording, stop an external camera, control another person's device, or guarantee protection on a compromised or remotely controlled Mac.

Collaboration

Collaboration is optional and intended for selected nearby participants. The host decides whom to invite. A participant who receives a shared note can view it on their device and may copy, photograph, export, remember, or retain the content outside myTriage.

Invite only people you trust. You are responsible for the content you share, your right to share it, and the consequences of sharing it. Do not use myTriage to transmit unlawful content or to violate another person's privacy or rights.

Backups, Passcodes, and Data Loss

Support cannot recover a forgotten app passcode or backup passphrase and cannot decrypt a user-created backup. You are responsible for keeping passcodes and backup files available, accurate, and secure.

Maintain an independent backup when loss would matter. Software defects, device failure, deletion, damaged files, operating-system changes, unavailable storage providers, or forgotten credentials may cause permanent loss.

Free Version and myTriage Pro

The free version allows up to 10 personal stickies. myTriage Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks unlimited personal stickies and collaboration hosting. Apple processes purchases, restores, refunds, taxes, regional prices, and Apple Account eligibility under its own terms.

Features may require a compatible myTriage version, supported macOS release, local-network permission, and functioning Apple services. A one-time purchase does not promise perpetual compatibility with every future Mac or macOS version.

Availability, Warranty, and Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, myTriage is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Continuous, uninterrupted, error-free, or absolutely secure operation is not guaranteed.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, KALEIDOSKY STUDIO LLC is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, business, profits, opportunity, privacy, or access arising from use of or inability to use myTriage. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.

Changes and Support

Features and these notices may be updated as the app, macOS, StoreKit, or legal requirements change. Material updates will be posted here with a revised effective date.

For questions, use myTriage Support. Never send private note content, passcodes, backup passphrases, device identifiers, network addresses, or backup files.
